John Wood RBSA

Born in Birmingham, John has spent a lifetime in artistic endeavour: hand lettering, calligraphy, graphic design, architectural illustration and interior design. Since 2000 he has concentrated on fine art.

Creativity is the stuff of composers of music, of writers, of poets and, of course, artists. The only difference is the choice of medium to express that creativity.

John’s chosen medium is pencil, ink line, and pastel in all forms. He is an artist who does not reproduce seen landscapes, still life, cute animals, formal portraits or abstract drips and drops. He works with what remains, creating a sense of presence and a lasting resonance.
