Rachel David

Rachel works in a wide range of media: watercolour, gouache, pastel and textiles. Her choice of medium is determined by her subject matter and mood. She particularly enjoys interpreting the natural world and painting portraits. She likes to construct and explore the picture surface in terms of colour, shape and textural design, often ending with a relatively abstract image.

She hopes her paintings and textiles convey a sense of excitement about colour and design and infinite ways of representing and interpreting the visual world.

Rachel exhibits regularly with the Sutton Coldfield Society of Artists, the Sutton Coldfield Art Trail and at the RBSA with the Art Circle.
