Petra Röhr-Rouendaal ARBSA

Technicolour Dress

Petra started to work full time on her artwork in 2010. Her paintings and more recent sculptures have been influenced by her life and experiences in Africa. The colours, the light, the spirit of the people are reflected in her work. Most of her work is figurative. Her paintings are mainly in acrylic and oil and with her sculptures she experiments with different firing techniques like Raku and smoke-firing.

Petra studied fine art in Germany, and later did a postgraduate degree at the University of Brighton. She worked as a graphic designer and book illustrator and set up the first art school and a silkscreen-printing workshop in Botswana.

Petra regularly exhibits in group and solo exhibitions in the UK and abroad. She has won numerous art prizes and sold her work worldwide.
