Irena has always enjoyed drawing and painting, continuing with her long held interest after she finished training and a degree in Printing Technology. Whilst living in England for the last 30 years she was awarded a Higher Certificate in Graphic Design and finished an arts’ foundation course at UCE.
Her art reflects her interest in natural shapes and patterns found in flowers, birds, the seaside and woodland landscapes. Her fascination with colour and light leads her to search for new inspiration and ways of expressing this.
She paints mainly in acrylic but also uses pastel, ink and mixed media. She regularly attends Art Club workshops at Ruskin Hall.
She exhibits at the RBSA, Hanbury Hall, Gallery 12 and other venues.
